Life is good in Florida

Every time I check the weather on the internet and see the freezing temperatures up north, my heart is full of joy. I’m looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving outside with the barbecue.

Matt@workWork is great. I’m climbing masts, measure and install new sails but mostly work in the shop to prepare masts for stepping them onto boats and making wire rigging. The learning curve is very steep. Sadly on the first day of work we had to decommission “Susan B” a beautiful 42′ ketch designed, built and owned by Brad Mack (founder of Mack Sails) because she was heavily damaged by Wilma. “Susan B” had gaping hole on the starboard side and sunk at the dock. They lifted her the next day and towed her to Port Salerno Marine for the haul out. She was then trucked over to the shop to await repair.
